the island on your table.
Market fish, seasonal vegetables, Canarian cheeses, island wines, and cooking that starts from Lanzarote without staying inside the traditional recipe book. A private dinner so you can sit down with your people and not worry about anything else.
Dining Door comes from a fairly simple idea: if you're visiting Lanzarote, part of the trip should be about what people actually eat here. It's not just about local product. It's about letting the whole island onto the table — the landscape, the way people live here, the culture behind each ingredient, and the actual place where you're having dinner that night. We're not trying to recreate a restaurant inside a house. We work with the kitchen we find, shop for that table, and finish every dish on site. The villa is part of the dinner. The menu changes when it needs to — with the season, with what we find, and above all with what comes in from the sea. It adapts to you — tastes, allergies, occasion — and the format is built for small groups: we're not trying to turn a house into an event hall, we want it to stay your house all night.
"An intense emotional and physical reaction some people feel when confronted with art or extreme beauty."

We cook and serve in your villa. It's our most personal format, and where Dining Door makes the most sense — for a dinner for two, an anniversary, a birthday, or any small celebration. We adapt the service to the group and the occasion.
A less formal meal for groups and celebrations. Dishes in the middle, a looser pace, a selection built to share.
If the space allows us to cook and work properly, we'll consider it. Tell us where it'll be before we lock in the menu.
Enjoy each meal of the day with a menu made just for you.
Lanzarote has one of the most distinctive wine-growing traditions in the Canaries. When the menu allows, we pair it with island wines: volcanic malvasía, dry whites, more aged styles, and reds chosen to match the dishes. The wine isn't there to decorate the menu's story. It's there to be drunk.
I trained at the Centro de Cualificación Turística in Murcia and at the Escuela de Hostelería La Flota. Since then I've cooked in very different places — weddings and celebrations at El Estudio de Ana, hotel kitchens in Norway, and the kitchen at Hotel Fariones here in Lanzarote. I took something from each of them, above all the idea that a private event isn't improvised: it's prepared with the same care as a dish.
"Our evening with Chef Javier was delightful, the food was delicious and perfect for our family celebration. Chef Javier was very communicative and responsive and took the time to understand what we would like to eat, coming up with new proposals and alterations to suit our tastes. Chef Javier was also a pleasure to have in our home and would certainly recommend him to anyone considering his food and service - thanks again Chef Javier, you made my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner something to remember."
"Javier was a great chef, we was very polite and acoomodating of our requests, the food was amazing and presented very nicely, he helped give us a night to remember whilst away and easily the best meal of our holiday. Would recomend him highly."
The whole island: Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero, Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Famara, Haría, Yaiza and anywhere else in Lanzarote. I cook at your villa, house or holiday rental.
Shopping for the produce, cooking at your villa, serving at the table and leaving the kitchen tidy and clean when we finish. All you have to do is sit down.
No. Besides private dinners we do brunch, lunches, barbecues, tapas and shared tables, celebrations and private events, and we can also take care of the meals for your whole stay.
It depends on the menu, the number of guests and the format. Tell us the date, location and guest count and we will send you a proposal priced for that table.
At least one week. In high season, the earlier the better.
There is no fixed minimum. We look at each case, from an intimate dinner to a celebration with family and friends.
Yes. Let us know when you ask for availability, along with anything you'd rather not eat, and the menu is designed around it.
Spanish and English.
To check availability we need three things: date, the location of the villa or stay, and guest count. If there are kids, allergies, intolerances, or anything you just don't want to eat, tell us that too.
